Giving Back to The Place We Call Home
The Bailey Family Foundation was created in 2023 to honor the kindness, hard work,
and generosity of Bill and Colleen Bailey, parents of our founder, John Bailey.
As a family with deep roots in Jackson, Michigan, we believe in investing in the community that
has given us so much. Our work supports neighbors, strengthens local businesses, honors veterans,
and empowers schools.
This foundation is more than a tribute, it’s a promise to continue a legacy of service, gratitude,
and growth for the place we proudly call home.

Our Story
In 1973, after serving in the Air Force and working in Jackson’s engineering department, Bill Bailey founded Bailey Excavating. More than 50 years later, the family business continues to thrive with a third generation involved.
Bill’s grandsons, Jacob and Jordan, each bring their own passions to the family legacy, Jacob through his love for veterans and history, and Jordan through his dedication to community and hard work.
Bill’s daughter-in-law, Julie, is the heart of the foundation. Her kindness and care keep the family grounded and focused on giving back.
